Boquete is officially considered as one of the five best places in the world to retire. Recognised as one of the most beautiful towns in the country, Boquete is reknowned for it's excellent climate, fairs, festivals and wonderful atmosphere. The American Association for Retired Persons stated, in 2001, that the town came highly recommended to North Americans, due principally to it's excellent security, beauty and cost of living.

Boquete is a panoramic town in the highlands of the west of Panama. It is also considered a prime tourist destination, for it's beautiful flowers, award winning gourmet coffees, spectacular mountain views and wonderful year-round climate.
