Boquete
The town of Boquete is located thirty minutes from the city of David, the capital of the Province, Chiriqui.
Boquete is comprised of six areas; Bajo (Lower) Boquete, Alto Boquete, Los Jaramillos, Los Naranjos, Caldera and Palmira. To the North is the Caribbean province of Bocas del Toro, the town of Bugaba to the West, the district of Gualaca to the East and ultimately the city of David to the South. |

The town of Boquete is surrounded by mountains, the most famous of which is the extinct Volcano, Volcan Baru - The highest tip of the country at 3,475 meters. It is also imperative to emphasise the climate of Boquete; which proves ideal to a tranquil lifestyle as the average year round temperature is 20.2°. With an elevation of 1,600 meters, Boquete not only provides wonderful views, which stretch as far as the Pacific Ocean, but it also offers superb condidtions for the cultivation of the best flowers and coffee of the country.
These conditions have bred three of the most famous coffee companies of Panama, Cafe Duran, Cafe Sitton and Cafe Ruiz.
In comparison to the city of David, Boquete is a lot smaller, yet contains a wonderful and stable population of people, originating from the mountains but growing on a daily basis with the many tourists, expats and retirees that fall in love with the town and decide to establish a new life here.
